Overweight and undertrained, spring fever got the best of me as I took to the road for a three-day journey.
A perfect long weekend sitting on a boat in Vancouver, BC. Steps from the Granville Island Market, awesome trails system around Kits and False Creek, I spent more time lounging and walking than riding, but I am glad I took the bicycle along.
A modern opera provides an excuse to visit Vancouver, I just wish I was more excited by it.
I recently picked up a new fixed lens for my camera, a standard 50 mm that on the digital gives a bit of zoom effect. I’ve not mentioned it before as I’ve not had either much time or much success shooting with it.

Last week my pal Pam called to take me to Vancouver. Ostensibly, I was to read the map and, if lucky, act as a second lens to her assignment: fill in the photographic gaps for a prominent guidebook of British Columbia.
Vic and Mieko are ski-bunnies. Cypress Mountain, site of the 2010 Olypmic moguls and free-style, was their 5th weekend in a row skiing. RAD-i-cal!
As I see it, my first priority is to save money for next year’s longer bike trip. My second is to pry Victor from Boston. Luckily, I don’t live in Atlanta or Houston, making the job a bit easier.
