Our house was on the east side of the city and our time flew by with plenty of site-seeing, so when it was clear that we weren’t heading to Hiroshima, we decided we’d return to Kyoto. This didn’t turn out as planned, but what really does on a vacation?
“If we just stay one more day…” was our most common refrain in Kyoto, a city I very much felt engaged with.
One reason we had a hard time leaving Kyoto was that we rented a great traditional house off of VRBO. What a swell way to stay in Kyoto!
If you like orange, foxes, and eating sparrows, you’ll love the hiking through the torii at the Fushimi Inari shrine.
