A perfect long weekend sitting on a boat in Vancouver, BC. Steps from the Granville Island Market, awesome trails system around Kits and False Creek, I spent more time lounging and walking than riding, but I am glad I took the bicycle along.
Victoria’s reputation as an pale substitute for Ye Olde England and a favored destination for traveling neophytes on package holidays had, unfortunately, biased me against traveling here. I’ve been finding Victoria, at least in the off-season, a delightful and relaxing weekend trip.
Last week my pal Pam called to take me to Vancouver. Ostensibly, I was to read the map and, if lucky, act as a second lens to her assignment: fill in the photographic gaps for a prominent guidebook of British Columbia.
