When I lived in Boston, I whined a lot. I was homesick for my friends, seeing the mountains, breathing cool Seattle air, living our “Northwest lifestyle”. Like most things one misses, there is a bit of myth that clouds reality.

We’re on the road, heading south. Tonight, if we’re lucky, we’ll be camping in Delaware. The apartment is empty, to our friends we have said goodbye, and we’ve done what we can for tidy endings.
