Wet Weekend at Moran

16 Sep ’19
Such a wet, Northwest weekend.
The view from BoiToi’s pop top.

I think of September as our most glorious month. The weather is usually warm and stable until the end of the month. So many families stay home with the kids back in school, that the camping is usually great. In the new order of things here, you still need camping reservations— and I’d made these hard-to-get reservations at Moran State Park in the middle of winter.

Well, it turned out to be miserable. Just poured with rain and so, given that our house was burnt and we’d been cooped up in hotel rooms for a week, the entire experience was stressful. On top of it, Doe Bay had a festival on, and so going to the hot tubs was out.

Honestly, this was a shitty weekend. We tried, but damn.
