The Roses, The Roses

20 May ’18
yellow climbing rose Seattle

This is a lovely Malvern Hills rose, we must have gotten at Wells-Medina. It was supposed to grow to 10 feet, but it well beyond that. I did not get it trimmed last year, so it’s quite unruly and also gets under the gutters— but oh well! It is so fantastic and so romantic.

It has the faintest scent, like your grandmother bending down to kiss you good night.
