It’s been months since I’ve been on a walk in the “Seattle Stairway Walks”, having injured a tendon by either using too old of shoes, or buying the wrong new shoes. After a summer of physical therapy and not much walking, it has been great to get back out on walks.
This walk features Seattle’s second longest stairs, the Thistle Stairs, which the book says are 367 steps. I was joined on this walk by my pal, Sunshine. Since she is fearless, we did this walk in reverse so we’d have more steps to go up. The only thing I’d do to make this walk more enjoyable, would be to increase it! If you have the time, I’d say add in the always lovely walk along the beach in Lincoln Park, maybe even just cutting out the little jaunt up to the shaggy Solstice Park, which is featured in a different short version of this walk anyhow.
I’ve been getting my exercise this year following the walks in “Seattle Stairway Walks”. You can get your copy here.
