“Hiking” the Naches Loop Trail

Wildflowers in Mt Rainier National Park August

We’ve spent most of this year’s amazing summer having weekends right in the city: cafes, tennis, and long walks. It’s been the most flawless summer I can remember.

Naches Loop trail is short. Naches Loop trail is pretty the minute you pull off the highway. Naches Loop trail is filled with people, who just like you, are quite content to hop out of their car and into alpine meadows.

Here’s the recommendation, start the trail clockwise, or to your left, as some of our digital friends seemed confused by analog clocks, that way you’ll be walking toward Rainier for the longest (short) segment of this loop.
