Spring in the Garden

7 May ’11

I am a fierce procrastinator…not out of a dedicated sense to the art of there’s always tomorrow so live today, but with the much more standard too many ways to say “Yes!” and then spending time fretting about when I needed instead to say “Unfortunately, no.” Of course, this tendency leaves life full and interesting, but means that even the biologic impulse that is a garden, sometimes gets shunted to the back of a list of other good ideas and intentions.

When we booked our trip to Japan, I was quite worried that we’d miss most of the bulbs blooming in the garden, but it seems that spring is a procrastinator too… so we arrived home to find all those bulbs I plants by Colman lantern in the night before going to Mexico in January are looking just fine.
