Mexico and Multiple Lenses

22 Jan ’09

I felt hesitant switching lenses around in Mexico. It seemed risky to play around with the Lensbaby, maybe I’d miss a better snap.

It’s a different type of reflection on the trip, my plastic shots. I’m still enamored with the plastic lens (and having a heck of time using the double glass to get effect) and these speak to the inherent heat and dust in Baja and its physicality in way that a straight shot would not.

Isolating the figures and erasing the details pushes forward a sadness, though perhaps too safely vague for a photographer who often lacks courage and unclear intent.
