NYC: Few photos, plenty of art

8 Oct ’09

Yellow Cab

I am fortunate to go to New York enough that I have favorites. With a day of work in New Jersey on a Monday, I made a weekend of New York City, though purposely mixed up my stay in an unfamiliar neighborhood and better hotel.

Despite dragging my camera around all of the first day, I hardly took it out of the bag. On the second day, I left it in the hotel.

Here’s laundry list of hightlights: Blake’s watercolors at the Morgan Library, Kandinsky at the Guggenheim, roasted garlic toasts at ‘ino, spicy food at Dhaba, a showing of Robert Frank’s Americans at the Met, NYC’s Pickle Festival, and bourbon in my hotel room.
