Last year sometime, at the prodding of my boyfriend, I started using a Google home page. It includes a bunch of widgets I glance at, though for the most part have stopped interacting with. Can I remember the Spanish word of the day? Nope. Do I recall the weather? Play the word games? Not really.
However, I could probably make a good guess as to what Frog and Ladybug are doing. They like to build campfires, they often play on a water slide, they have picnics. They are friends.
I tip my hat to whichever nefarious team at Google came up with this banner theme. It is too cute and I am routinely cheered up by this ridiculous feature.
Late at night, while drinking my fourth cup of coffee to power through another wire frame, the house was quiet, Vic and Galli asleep in the bedroom, and Frog and Ladybug were slumbering snuggly in their sleeping bags after their campfire died down.
It wasn’t quite so bad to be up all alone in the night.

Hello, Bike Nerd–
This comment is about something two years old–I hope you don’t mind.
On Thursday, May 15, 2006, you posted some pix of New York–good ones. Today I found those through Google Image while hunting for pix of the NY Public Library.
I’m editor of the Internet Review of Books —
http://internetreviewofbooks.com — and we have a NYPL picture on the index page of our June issue, published yesterday. I got permission to pull it off their site, and then they informed me today they can’t do that. They sent a couple to replace it, but meanwhile I found yours. I’d love to have your lion picture to replace the one we have.
Naturally we’d give you credit. We can’t pay–just beginning to get ads and won’t break even for a long time, I fear.
Would you kindly let us have it?
My address is editor (at) internetreviewofbooks
Thank you.
