Please don’t throw my in that brier patch! Oh, oh please don’t throw me in that brier patch…And so it went when my little sister came to town, convinced that every move she made would somehow end up on right here on the World Wide Web.
Arriving before a few days before the wedding, we were organized and ready to enjoy some time with the Peterson’s and get them acclimatized to Seattle and our pals before the wedding. A requisite trip to Highland Drive, Fremont, dinner at the Market, and Alki beach for sunset, they held up extremely well despite the lengthy flight and time change.
To our amusement though they scratched hiking off the to-do list based on a couple city streets downtown, which she claimed had 35% grades (not quite) and they did seem a bit flummoxed with finding indoor activities due to some morning rain (was it raining? I didn’t even notice… wink). Ah! People from a Flat Place not used to drizzle and mist!
While they’d have some work to do to get used to our fabulous Northwest lifestyle, I’m thinking with time and effort they’d have calves of steel, proper raincoats and be just fine.
We’d be glad to have them out more often.
