I started this blog as a way to keep my pals in Seattle up-to-date on my bicycling adventures. For the past year, I haven’t had any bicycle adventures and I am back in Seattle.
This creates a special kind of problem for a blog called, “Bike Nerd.”
It’s been a month since I’ve posted and I’ve been thinking about the changes that have occurred since I’ve started blogging.
I’ve … learned a bit of code.
… learned how to have a server.
… switched to a Mac.
… learned a lot more about photography.
My system for blogging is rather time-intensive despite using Blogger as I like to include photos, and those get edited and posted to my own server. This system, while sustainable, is not going to work once I am back on the road.
This all points to a need to take a bit of break from Bikenerd and figure out a new system that better incorporates photography, current technology, storage, traffic, coolness, and ease-of-use, while either incorporating and rejuvenating my love of cycling, or at least acknowledging it’s in a lull.
I’ll post up my new address and thought on the transition once it’s complete.
