Nine hours later, as I was peeling off layer upon layer upon layer upon layer of lycra and wool, I have to say: it was not so bad. The headache caused by the cold had long since dissipated, I was still able to walk, and the 58 miles we did today would be a decent ride for me any day of the year, let alone the end of January in New England.
Biking Season Has Begun!
While I’ve always used small adjectives taped to names, this has become more important with Vic as he’s hardly met anyone I know. Chances are, if I’ve haven’t met you in person, you’ve got the word “Internet” stuck in front of your name.
Internet-Todd is the second bike blogger I’ve met in person. He did all the route finding and took me to a swell fishmongers in West Concord for lunch. Not too fast, not too slow, he was a perfect freelancing pal for taking advantage of a short lull in work flow. Here’s a map he made of the ride.
The most pleasant aspect of the ride north out to Concord, Acton and Lincoln was that Todd lost his moniker.
