Right up there with Thanksgiving and my birthday as my favorite days, it’s Soup Swap.

Now in it’s fifth year, it’s taken on all the ritual and anticipation of any other major holiday. This fall finds Soup Swap back in Seattle. This years theme seemed to be a return to simplicity, with Green Chile Stew, Tomato Soup, and Lentil Soup moving a bit faster than the trendier concoctions. Does this imply something about Seattlites’ sixth sense of winter? Or is it simply the consequence of the rainiest November on record?
