Poolside in San Diego

Poolside at the Hotel Salomar

With some trepidation, but tons of excitement, we’re off to the trolley this morning with our loaded bikes. We’ve not done as much site seeing as we’d hoped with all the chores of getting the bikes back together and a bit of shoe shopping.

However, we’ve had an unexpectedly up-scale life staying at a hotel in the Gaslamp District, courtesy of the actual hotel we reserved at near Balboa Park. It seems despite telling them we’d be in a midnight, they decided not to hold us a room. It makes me wonder what the point of reservations are? I really wanted to wake up in the morning for a walk, but instead we’ve done a bit of morning swimming, and then spent a bit of the early evening at the hotel’s pool bar. It is very California.
