I was chatting with a friend who’s “into sports” a week or two ago about getting to a baseball game at Safeco Field. She asked me, “Does Boston have a team?”
Seattle is that kind of baseball town. Unlike Boston, you can go to bars and restaurants that do not have TVs. Depending on your rabbidity (notably lacking here), that can go either way. I personally like sports bars to show games and diversions, while I feel strongly that all other public gathering spots are better off without the incessant TV. This makes it easier to avoid meatheads, hand-clappers, and sports commentators.
Like me, my pal Dave enjoys a few beers at Safeco and a trip to the ballpark better when you can score free tickets. That first picture was taken up high where our assigned seats were, but I like the one of us sitting in the first row, before we got removed by security.
