Ah! Here it is: the Boston brevets series.
Last year, I was in no shape for a 200K ride in early May. In fact, I’ve never cycled a century, which is 100 miles in one go. If I am in town, I’ll be on this ride and working on the full series.
Our recent warm spell has me ready for spring, which is really months away.
I’ve been following along with Jill’s training for the Susitna 100, a 100 mile get-along-it-anyway-you-can in Alaska. She’s planning on biking it and has already got 400 January miles on her bike. Reading her training account reminds me what a wimp I am to stay indoors eating bon-bons.
